Central synagogue and architectural monument in Kharkiv.
The building of the Kharkiv Choral Synagogue is designed by well-known architect Yakov Hevirts. His project won first place at the competition of the Imperial Architectural Community in 1909. The eclectic building, which combines the Roman Gothic with elements of the Moorish style, is one of the largest in Europe.
