"Katyn сemetery" is a burial place of about 4300 Polish citizens, among them there are officers, prisoners of war, imprisoned after 17.09.1939 in the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs camp in Starobilsk and others. They were shot in the basements of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs prison in Chernyshevska street in April and May in the year of 1940 and buried in the forest in Piatykhatky.
