From architecture and painting masterpieces to the masterpieces of nature

The tour introduces you to the historical and cultural heritage of Kharkiv and its flowers of the flock - the estate of well-known sugar manufacturer Ivan Kharytonenko – “Nataliivka”, Parkhomivskyi art Museum named after P.F. Luniov and the Krasnokutskyi arboretum.

Nataliivka will impress you with Spaso-Preobrazhenskyi cathedral, which was built by the famous architect Oleksii Shchusev for the wedding of Natalia Kharytonenko and Prince Mykhailo Horchakov. You can see interesting interior and exterior decorations, including carved pediments and rosettes with the sainthood, a large crucifix (a work of the famous sculptor Serhii Kononkov) and Millennium cross, built into one of the walls of the cathedral.

Parkhomivskyi art Museum is sometimes called a "rural Hermitage", because there are presented more than 6 thousand exhibits: paintings made by Shishkin, Levitan, Repin, Vasnetsov, Kandinsky, Roerich, Malevich, Picasso, some very rare icons, household items, books and porcelain collections.

A true masterpiece of landscape art is the Krasnokutskyi arboretum. It was founded in the late XVIII century by the famous botanist I. N. Karazin. The arboretum amazes visitors not only with trees that "remember" Karazin's hands, but also with such exotics like maidenhair tree, coffee and cork trees. Surrounded by these majestic trees, you can also seclude on the Love Island or to peek into one of the caves of cossack Peter and Paul monastery that once existed in this place.
