«DVORICHANSKYI» NATIONAL NATURE PARK
The highlight of the Dvorichanskyi National Nature Park is chalk mountains, a single array of which stretches along the bed of the river Oskil. They appeared at the bottom of an ancient sea during the Mesozoic period and are a part of a large Cretaceous array. But this preserved area has not only the Cretaceous landscapes, but also the virgin steppe, forest tracts and floodplain meadows of the Oskol river.
